• Chamundi Hill Temple and Bull –  Sitting atop the flat-crested Chamundi hill is the temple of Chamundeshwari, the main deity of Mysore. Accessed via an ancient stone stairwell, it is preceded first by an enormous statue of the bull Nandi, and then by a colourful statue of the mythical demon Mahishasura, who the city is named after. You can drive up to the temple, walk through the local bazaar at the temple, and get panoramic views of Mysore from the hilltop.
• Mysore Palace – The most important palace in the ‘City of Palaces’, this is the abode of the rulers of Mysore. Built as a palace for the people, it is the venue for public celebrations even today.
• Jaganmohan Palace Art Gallery – Once the home of Mysore Maharajas, this royal building is now an art gallery showcasing famous Indian and international artists.
• Mysore University and District Collectorate – Mysore is a great centre of education, attracting students from all over the state. You can drive through the beautiful University of Mysore campus seeing the stately buildings, including colleges, research institutes and maidans, for a glimpse of student life in the city. You can also see the grand District Collectorate building
• Mysore town centre and Devaraja Market – This is the civic and commercial heart of Mysore we will see the Town Hall, the Dodda Gadiyara (Big Clock Tower), Chamarajendra Circle, K R Circle, Chikka Gadiyara (Small Clock Tower) etc. Finally, we will explore a traditional market as old as the city itself, encompassing the essence of Mysore culture and everyday life.
